Countdown to Amicalola: How to Lose Three Days at once

So if you've been following this journal, you may have noticed that between yesterday and today there is a discrepancy between the days until Amicalola. This is because I made an error figuring up the days last Monday. Since today is Wednesday, and the day we start our hike is also a Wednesday, that means our number should be a multiple of seven (since March 25 will be Hike Day). As such, I dropped from 73 to 70. I won't go back and correct the previous posts, but from now on we'll be using the right numbers.

Fortunately, that was the only bad number to report for today. As expected, I bounced back this morning with a good result on the scale. I also was able to get 20 minutes of exercise in, the bare minimum I'm accepting for most days. This doesn't include a couple trips down the stairs at work, which would add 2 minutes or so each to the total.

As for the first night on the sleeping pad and in the sleeping bag, it wasn't a complete failure, but it wasn't a full success. After a big of wrangling, I finally did drift off to sleep. However, I woke up at three in the morning, didn't feel quite comfortable, and made the switch in the name of being able to be coherent at work today. I'll continue to try this out and will hopefully be ready for the real deal in seven weeks (gulp).
